Got all but the final two half sheets of metal up today.  By the time I was prepped to screw 'em down - the afternoon winds arrived.  That is "it" for the metal...the last section will be transparent polycarbonate.  This will give the greenhouse a window for the low winter sun and enough shade to cut the sunlight in half during the high sun summer months.  79,90,53,0,B

3 sheets to the wind...

Only managed three sheets of roofing up this morning before the breeze kicked in - a stiff wind turns this roofing into flying swords...but I think I got the system down. Happy to have at least spanned the gap between containers.    Filled the rest of the day with a trip down south for stuff - some Benita water and the post office for a couple of tshirts to send out (a recent order and the prize for the millionth page viewer).  Was hoping the wind would die out before it got dark for at least one more bit of roof - but no luck.  There is always tomorrow...for now.  80,91,55,0.W

Woke up a little sore this morning - must have been that pallet of concrete I helped offload from the McCoys truck yesterday (no forklift - gonna ask for a refund for the delivery charge).  Did the math and no wonder I felt a bit tweaked... 42 bags x 80 lbs each = 3,360 pounds. 

I finally convinced myself that today would be a roofing day. Was a little slow getting started but all that ladder travel kinda loosened me up.  This section is a tad more difficult than the outside sections.  To get a nice tight seam where the roofing overlaps, I had to remove the screws along the edge where the metal meets and replace them with pop rivets. I think I got it down now after getting the first 4 sheets up.  85,93,56,0,B

I really wasn't in the mood to get started on the roofing today so I showered this morning instead.  Almost made an Alpine run but the swampy spot has already been chewed up pretty good my tourists.  How they got through I do not know.  Beatrice came running up to the truck as I was turning around - she was a little too frisky and I had no range feed for her.  She chased my truck about 100 yards at full gallop before giving up.

Came home and put on the work clothes and started the sky monkey routine.  That first sheet of roofing I clamped into place yesterday screwed down with ease.  Quickly figured out a routine that worked and ended up with 12 sheets in place by the end of the day.  56 more to go.  Good light wind day for handling the panels - only light breezes out of the south - that was just the right direction to help me.  I got a feeling this is going to go a lot faster than I dreaded.  91,94,71,0,C
