53?
Celebrated the annual event by successfully rigging the first of 5 movable shade panels. Frame built from ripped down the middle 2x4's...covered with Aluminet Reflective 80% Shade Cloth...hung via four little pulleys running along tight turnbuckled 1/8" galvanized cable. Glides along quite nicely which opens the prospect of an automated system. 78,90,47,0,B

Happy Birthday John, I was thinking about you today as I drove across dry, dry Wyoming. Didn't realize it was your day, hope it was good.
Looks great. But I think you will still get heat build up inside. To really reduce indoor temps it should be mounted outside the clear poly roof area. Then you can control solar gain more than just making shade.
happy birthday, John! you do know that Aries is the "Action Jackson" of astrology? you have certainly, single-handedly proved it....
Looks like a winner. You have the height in the greenhouse to keep the heat at the top so inside shades should work, especially reflective aluminet. You will find it to be particularly strong and long lasting. (wish blogger would allow edits)
Happy B'day John. With your busy work schedule I hope you had time to pause and reduce the inventory of refrigerant! Cheers
Very slick! Your fans and misting system along with these panels should keep temps down considerably. Happy Belated!
Happy birthday, John.
No shortage of hot water these days, I imagine?
How about a "counter balance" type system to move em. This is my favorite blog of all time........Happy Birthday Mr. John Wells! Maker of good things in the desert.
Happy Birthday!
I built a shadecloth assembly by stringing guywires like yours, thru grommets installed in cloth every yard. Then installed a header board at each end of 10yd and a pull line at each end on headers, it worked well for me.
Happy Birthday John. Hope you had a chance to enjoy a couple of cold ones.
Happy Birthday John. You don't look a bit over 52 to me
