fiction?

While nursing my bum leg...I have had a lot of down time.  I have been spending about 4 hours per day in bed with my leg up and at least as much in the evening before I go to sleep.  I found it easiest to pass the time watching various science fiction TV shows available through Amazon Prime.  To date I have watched every episode of Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Firefly, Under The Dome, Defiance, Falling Skies, Extant, Fringe, Alphas, Grimm, Eureka, and currently watching Warehouse 13.  My perception of reality has been shifted and now I am starting to wonder how much of this entertainment will become fact eventually.  85,92,58,0,B

Satan's greatest joy ... altering the thoughts and ideas of humankind through television.

Idle hands and minds do the work of the Devil.

Watching the dreamers at work...

Good sci-fi writers can't get too far beyond the realm of possibilities. Some of the authors of the 30-50's seem almost prescient now.

Satan's job is a lot more difficult when you acknowledge his influence.

Yes, a lot of it will become some form of fact and already is in testing. Imagine connected brains and connected to a computer and genetically breeding super humans, and a microfiber wire as an elevator into space to transport, etc. Here already. Not to mention all types of working robots for many purposes. Here also.

Ms. Margery gets it.

John, that assumes you are smarter than He is. He knows your next move long before you make it.

TY for the video. Pretty deep. I thought about the spy thing. But actually I know now about the scam in the ghost buster show when our loved ones are brought back. OR IS it a scam 😳 wuui wu wu!!! :-)

The way it appears to me is that there are many thinkers who in conjunction with many writers and producers have theorized many possibilities, or better put contingencies, depending on which way the winds blow as the sands pass through the hourglass.

But in short, yes, agree completely with your thesis.

not sure about the connection with Satan. Man has always been a dreamer and has always tried to envision our future - a better life, less suffering but always a relationship with GOD and care about others in whatever new world we live in.

Larry, I was kidding about the Satan thing as a follow-up to a previous day's comment John made. Americans spend countless hours every day staring at the TV and computer screen accomplishing nothing, and unfortunately, being influenced by ideas that are not founded in reality.

Case in point would be Texas Gov. Abbott's actions regarding pending military exercises in Texas. He, and many other deeply ignorant Texans are convinced the exercises are a precursor to a takeover by the Obama and the U.S. government. All this because there are paranoid people who believe the paranoid fantasies put forth on the internet and some of the so called "news" networks.

well.. I'm not sure anymore to be honest. the more outrageous something sounds - it often turns out to be true.

The Texas deal is a case in point but it's by no means isolated... Conspiracy theories are rampant these days.

Wow Steve,

Your rant sounds exactly like that of a left leaning Liberal. Talk about fantasy time and the deeply ignorant!!!

Moe – I'm assuming you fall in the Abbott camp. Watch out, they're coming to get you!
