phone finder

Since my new smart phone doesn't stay home hanging on the wall, I am a bit paranoid about losing it so I ordered one of these.  It can make my smart phone even smarter in case I've been stupid and misplaced it.  Sure you can always just call your phone and hope to hear it ringing - but what if it's turned off or the battery is dead?  With the "tile" attached to the case, I can locate my phone with the app on my tablet.  Not only will it play a loud tone on the device, but it will also show me a map of where it was last located.  I'm screwed though if I lose both my phone and my tablet... 70,76,51,0,B

Gonna look it up. See if I can use it with my Mac mini. Sometimes, it has to be an iPad or phone. Sigh. No iPad. I am joined at the hip with my computer.

If you have an iOS device running iOS 14 or newer, Tile is compatible with: iPhone 6s or newer. iPad (Regular, Pro, and Mini)

Can you locate it through the web?

You can see its last location through the web on the app as long as it was in a place where there was cell service and/or Wifi - but in order to set off the tone on the device, it has to be within Bluetooth range of the device you are using to find it. For this model that means it has to be within 200 feet.
