Have you thought about monetizing Amazon links? The reason I ask, is I will use your links if I choose to buy another item you recommend. Or is that just a YouTube thing.
More animals and plants, less electronics.
Jeff...yes, I looked into becoming an Amazon affiliate a couple of years ago. But after some research, I figured out the profit potential is pretty low unless you have 1,000's of people seeing the links. I don't have enough people following my blog to make any money that way.
Can you use it while it charges in the sun?
My Reolink security camera has a solar panel that keeps it charged.

Zole - I am trying this out specifically because it has a solar panel to charge the power bank, even while it is powering something. According to my calculations (the camera draws about .4 amps at 5 volts), I don't think these panels can make up for what the camera is using. But since this would be a compact and inexpensive option, I thought I would try it out for a couple of days. If it really fails, I will just return it and get my money back. I may try this one next. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09L198HC2?th=1 Funny thing about all these solar charged battery banks is - while they all have solar panels, they recommend using them for emergencies only and that leaving the unit out in direct sun for extended periods could cause overheating issues. Another option I am going to try is a sealed 10 Ah battery and a 20 watt solar panel with a cheap PWM charge controller that has a USB outlet to hook the camera up to. Ultimately, I am going to place a camera out at the end of my driveway for remote monitoring. Too far to run power out there (230 meters) - but I have really good wifi signal strength that far away thanks to a wifi extender. I may however have to add an external antenna to the camera.
I have the same solar power unit, it does a terrible job charging my iPhone even when it is fully charged.
Mike Hunt (interesting name by the way - I bet you took a lot of flak as a kid) If you mean by "terrible job" that is was really slow, it's probably because an iPhone needs a 20 watt charger - this only puts out 10 watts.
