When these drop mechanisms for the Mavic Pro first came out years ago, they were around $100.  I figured if I waited long enough - the price would come down.  Picked this up for $37 on Amazon.  62,71,35,0,C

Decided to do a test flight with my Mavic Pro since it has been over a year since it has flown.  I bought it during the summer of 2017.  All systems were nominal...  68,76,51,0,W

new propellers...

I kept getting turbulence warnings on that last road check flight with the drone even though it was relatively calm.  Thought it might be a good idea to put on some new propellers.  According to the flight logs, in the past year the Mavic Pro has flown 127 missions for a total of over 133 miles and almost 18 hours of flight time - and not a single crash.  91,97,73,0,B

first flight...

Since I got it a week ago, I decided it was finally time to launch the drone this morning .  Did 5 short flights in "beginner mode" just to get a hang of the controls. So far so good.  Did a firmware update when I came back inside which took about a half hour.  The app tells you when a new update is available (requiring an internet connection) and DJI can actually update not only the aircraft, but also the batteries, controller, and android app as needed. I finally gave in to temptation...

I have been resisting buying a drone for over a year...until today. My thought has always been - how much drone footage can you actually shoot before the novelty wears off? Decided if I can come up with 50 drone videos to shoot for my YouTube channel - I would buy one. I came up with 75. So I am cashing in on some of the money "the bucket" video has made and ordered a DJI Mavic Pro along with a number of a la carte accessories (at a better deal than any package price I could find).  91,92,75,0,B
