lost a day

Lost my Saturday due to another extra night swamped out.  Got stuck at The Mission Lodge with no wifi.  Had to resort to regular TV for my evening entertainment.  Forgot how painful it was to watch a movie with commercials every 10 minutes.

Before I finally headed home Sunday afternoon, I had a chance to visit with Dr. Doug for the first time in a very long time.  ATV accidents at top of the conversation list.  His brother Jon had a very nasty one just Saturday.  He flipped over backwards and the vehicle landed on top of him.  He was taken by ambulance to Alpine then airlifted to Lubbock with a broken nose and several broken ribs and so far has spent 2 days in ICU.  45,57,48,0,B

Dr. Doug

Pulled the forms off the north pour this morning...set 'em right away for the south pour. Finished up by 1PM. Took an extra hour to sort out the mess from the last couple of days of construction. Chatted with some neighbor/visitors for more than awhile then ran them off so I could hit the outdoor shower. Headed down to the Ghost Town for some quality porch time. Met up with Dr. Doug and set him up with a YouTube account and uploaded a video for him....his debut as a fashion model. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9V8PWpGYaY Need to visit him again and upload the long version....you gotta see him work the catwalk. Caught a nice sunset on the drive home. A very well rounded day indeed. 61,86,29,0

shufflin' stuff

Decided to tackle the mess on the north side of my complex. It's all about curb appeal. As construction progresses, I have to start thinking about the landscaping. Took 5 hours to consolidate and conceal the debris. Not quite done but made a huge dent in it today before I started getting dizzy from the heat and could smell my skin burning.

Camped indoors for a couple of hours then took a siesta. Woke up at 4:30 - sponged off the dried sweat and headed down for 241 night at the Starlight. Ran into 6 friends there and sucked up the cheeseburger and a couple of margaritas. Had a chance to finally meet my new best friend Dr. Doug on the porch....a bearded brother I have seen in the Ghost Town just about every time I've been down there. The two best beards in Texas. http://www.drdougs.com/
