map quest...

I have known for years that the property line overlay provided by The Property Owners Association of Terlingua Ranch Inc. (as well as the Brewster County Tax Assessors Office) is incorrect and has led to several instances of new owners building on someone else's property.  Rather than try to correct their maps, the get around any liability for providing this misinformation with the following disclaimer: "Our mapping programs should be used as a guide.  Only a licensed surveyor can give you the actual boundaries and GPS coordinates of your property."  By starting with correct section lines, it is fairly simple to extrapolate property lines even down to 5 acre tracts and end up with precise locations without the expense of a surveyor.  For an example, here are some selections in my area.  The top map is the incorrect POATRI/Tax office overlay on Google Earth and the bottom map is from the Texas Railroad Commission website - showing the correct section lines with corrected property lines within my section.  70,74,46,0,B
