curb appeal...
Landscaping on tap for the day. Sorted through my pallet supply to set up some cattle guards for my waterboxx test with the palo verde trees. Sprouts are looking good but need to get some chicken wire to add to the critter guards to keep the rabbits away from the fresh greens and water supply going into place. 79,96,56,0,B

plant day
Just couldn't bring myself to more tank level'n today - just a bit of prep for the next session. Got an email last night from my buddy Bill about the waterboxx experiment. Seems the seeds might need another extra dose of agua to help them sprout. Headed over to the site with water in tow and dowsed all the boxxes with 1 liter each. Two out of 32 (I said 30 in a previous post) tests had seedlings sprouting already.
Brought the rest of the water home and trickled it onto some of my favorite plants at the Lab. More buds are popping out every day around here. Fetched the flash drive out of the GardenWatchCam to check the 3rd test - worked well on the Cat's Eye plant at a full day with a shot taken every 5 seconds. The camera is from http://www.brinno.com/ Caught quite a few pollinators doing their job. Next test - a multi day shoot with one frame every 5 minutes to check bloom development....video soon. 77,90,50,0,B

The Waterboxxers...
Met up with my new best friend family this morning...the Schneiders (Bill, Ben, Beth, Anna). Anna is getting her upper learning at UT...so I insisted that she hand feed Benita when they stopped by for a visit after working all day (send me the photo when you get a chance). From a previous post - Bill contacted me a little while back about a water delivery for his waterboxx experiment out here. http://www.groasis.com/page/uk/index.php So nice to meet such a great family all working together on such an interesting project. I trucked out 250 gallons of water while they installed 30 waterboxxes for the big test in the Big Bend. I will be checking the progress for them once a week... Chilopsis linearis, Celtis laevigata reticulate, Acacia farnesiana, Atriplex canescens, Cercidium microphyllum (my favorite), Rhus microphylla, and Ziziphus jujube. Bill gave me two more waterboxx units so now I have 6 to try out at TFL. 71,90,44,0,C
