TCHS

Woke up way too early this morning...4:30AM.  Spent the pre-dawn hours digging through Classmates.com.  Ended up finding what would have been my graduating year high school year book for Tell City High School in Indiana.  Looked at every page and was reminded of friends I had long forgot - kids I was in school with from 3rd grade through freshman year.  Tracked down 4 of them on facebook - including a girl I had a big crush on in Jr High.  Puttered around the hut all day cleaning up while thinking about the old days.  Sharing my space with 2 tomato plants for one more cold night.  36,52,30,0,B

in for the big chill...

Cold front pouring down on TFL for the next couple of days.  All stocked up on propane and beer to weather the big chill.  Drained the thermosyphon on my solar water heater - just in case.  Pondered my parts piles till I found just the right stuff for the new IP cam jig - the FrankenRig.  Gutted two old satellite dish mounts and cobbed them together to give me 3 axis pointing capabilities.  My efforts were rewarded with news (I got on facebook) that there is such a thing as bacon flavored vodka available...just when I thought life couldn't get any better.  http://www.bakonvodka.com/

southwingpaved...

Three more wheel barrow loads and I finally had enough back fill...smoothed out a 1" deep level bed of sand.  75 pavers filled it in and topped it off.  60,78,38,0,B

backfill...

1.  Replaced old wiring from some of my solar panels to one of my battery banks.
2.  Boiled my batteries for 2 hours (performed an equilization charge)
3.  Pulled the forms off yesterdays pour

4.  Dug up and moved 14 wheel barrow loads of dirt into the south wing  43,58,49,0,B

TFL in Thailand

13 bagger today - pouring the south wing forms.  Cleaned up the construction zone and started prepping the north wing for block.  Slight chance of rain coming in before the cold front drops down Sunday night, so I put away all the stuff that doesn't appreciate excessive moisture.  Got an email yesterday from my buddy Bruce Simpson.  He is working with a company near Bangkok to help with the flooding over there.  Nice of him to take his Field Lab tshirt along for the ride.  58,75,28,0,B
