Finally a forecast I feel confident about (sort of).  Big supply run to Alpine today.  I'm set for six weeks now if need be.  Splurged for a really good pair of boots today.  First time I tried them on it was like dipping my feet into melted butter.  Rather ironic that proceeds from Benita Memorial tshirt sales subsidized this purchase....and Old Brown Cow didn't seem to care about their origin. Had to re balance the solar oven to account for the extra weight of the oven door and pivoting cooking tray.  May have to adjust again once I put the glass and reflectors back on.  Got it all black inside with high heat spray paint for gas grills.  93,101,68,0,B,0

VIPs coming tomorrow so on grounds keeping duty all day.  Second batch of compost done so I moved it to the square bin so I could refill the bio orb with new poop.  This is the second of two wheelbarrow loads. OBC leaves some whoppers for me.

new business in alpine

Lots of afternoon thunderstorm chances this week, so headed north to stock up.  Brewster County is starting the heavy grit paving fiasco of 118... oil and gravel. Tires are gonna take a beating on this road till it gets mashed smooth...not to mention windshields with all those flying rocks.  Kinda makes me think how are we gonna maintain highways when there is no more oil.

My friends Jared and Breezy are just starting up a new business in Alpine.  They are located in the quonset hut bldg on the north side of 90 across from Alco....gearing up for Big Bend Welding, Trailer and Tire Repair.

Home in time to prep and hunker down for thunderstorms the just missed TFL.  Lots of longhorns here and Mr. Floppy brought friends by today.  Found a steely green eyed toad looking for a place to hide by the greenhouse.  75,103,69,T,B,0
