That is such a good picture of Mr. Floppy. It looks like he is smiling :)

Mr. Floppy loves your front porch.

Looks like your column of rocks sprouted some longhorns!

Hi John,

Up here in Canada the 'column of rocks' gets an Inuit name, I think it's spelled 'inukshuk'. Very similar, at least. (In Scotland they called them cairns, right?)

I found your site from Pat O'Bryan's film/interview with you and the tour of the field lab. Absolutely fascinating. Would love to do something similar myself, but you need a certain level of intelligence to live solo in a vicious (but beautiful) climate, and all I have is enough to know that I couldn't survive ;)

Do you know if Clay Henry, the Beer Drinking Goat, is still chugging the Corona down the road in Lajitas, or did his heart finally succumb to the beer drinking?

Cheers,
Colin

Great pics John,

Up here in Amarillo I think we need to use some of your ideas. We are about 2 inches behind for the year in rain fall. I don't think we have had any to speak of since November.
Keep up the good work.
