tote day
First rainstorm of 2012 at 5AM. Busy morning working out some details for an aerial shoot that some Google Earth folks want to do at TFL next month. Meanwhile, my buddy Bennett Jones in Alpine brokered a deal on three 300gal IBC totes for me at $150/apiece. Total rainfall for 2011 was 3.82". 39,55,43, .06",B

Good price on those totes, I could fill a dozen of them here and keep them filled all the time with the rain we get.
May have to (or want to) someday, they are pushing folks here to put meters on their own damn wells, something is up.

Runs around 15 to 20" here. Over a 100" not far from here.
Must be what that twin engine plane that keeps flying around all over the place out here is doing?
nope tff...that must be someone local. The Gooble Earth plane wont be out till next month to update imagery.
LSU or Alabama?
Maybe its one of those planes out trying to catch people burning stuff then? I've seen and heard it all over the place (Even down near SB.)
Congratulations on the rain!
What is the state of the pond?
drought dent in Houston -some areas more than your annual rainfall - it's a start.
Once GooAir arrives will you be Area 51.1TFL?

I if you need more of these containers check craigslist in EP they are aften selling the ones that coca cola gets their syrups in for 30-45 bucks a piece (225 gallons). The guy we got ours from lives in Fabens Tx.
Hope y'all get more rain this year... It's been wet around here..North Mississippi.. no snow yet.. we actually had a white Christmas year before last.. first in my 47 years.
.06" - that's good. Hope you got to capture some of it.
The totes look interesting. Can't figure how you'd need them, but, I know you have a plan.
John, as dry as it has been in the dallas area this past year, we had 3.25 inches rain in the past 2 days (Mesquite).
I hope you do better this year.
