Heavy fog this morning....the plants know how to catch it.
Well...the lobster donors made it out today (and I got a picture!). Don and his daughter Mary came out for the tour and brought more good stuff....Jiffy Pop and ammo. I think these two need to visit more often. They were really nice folks - but Carl was back in his "I don't like girls" phase...sorry about that, Mary.

John, Looking good! If you slap a coat of latex paint on that PVC it will last a lot longer.
FYI...the pvc has a coat of paint on it.

fog collectors seem interesting - think there is enough fog/humidity/condensation going on there to make it a viable option? looks like they could be incorporated into your collection system... don't know if the fauna would allow them. Would 50-60 gallons a day be worth the effort? Dry season production in Nepal... got to think your evaporation rates would be much greater.
It is possible to precipitate quite a bit of water out of the air with a wind trap especially in a high desert like Terlingua. Wind traps and cooling towers are pretty common in the Middle East and Asian desert regions.

When My dad came out for a visit last fall...he showed up with 300 rounds of 45 colt ammo...he knew I was low...talk about a House warming gift. A couple of weeks ago I got a dillon reloading press...so far I crunched about 350 rounds through it...i've got over 1500 bullets and 3000 primers...so I should be set for a while.
Nice visitors with good gifts.
