oh the irony...

Kind of ironic that I just posted a video of the state of my water supply while Study Butte / Terlingua is under a water emergency due to problems with the municipal water system.  Did a supply run to Alpine yesterday which included picking up over 28 gallons of bottled water for a neighbor who has no catchment in place.  Also looks like my kitchen has relapsed into its' natural state of chaos.  Stay tuned for an upcoming time lapse video on my channel of the transformation back to order.  89,91,73, .01",W

That water looks heavy.

A gallon of water weighs 8.34 lbs.

That is what I carry in the auto. Was 108 heat temp. here for 2 days. Even the dogs looked desperate and people came in McD's with red flushed faces. Felt like the end. Fans were given to seniors in San Antonio.

I don't know John ... the kitchen looks pretty good to me. Take it from an old procrastinator, you could put off organizing for a good while yet.

Have you ever thought about an outdoor kitchen setup for the summer? Maybe under a pergola or something like that. Your kitchen doesn't look big enough to keep in order.

That was a very nice gesture on your part to bring 28 gallons of water to your neighbor. This would be a better place if there were more neighbors like you in the world.

The world would be a better place if more people took responsibility for themselves rather than being a burden on others due to their own incompetence. Life is a tricky thing but it is not rocket science. Far too many people rely on others to compensate for their own stupidity.

Janet...I am not much of a "foodie". I almost view eating as an inconvenience to life which is why I only eat one meal a day and my kitchen falls into chaos so often. I actually already do most of my cooking outdoors in either my gas grill or my solar oven and that doesn't seem to help. Let's face it - I am kind of a slob when it comes to cleaning house. There is no one else here I have to impress and I have a high tolerance for chaos.

Get a cat, you will have to clean the place to find out where she hides all day.

Our cat used to disappear regularly for a few days at a time. Sometimes it would be gone for a week or two. Found out that he had at least one other home in the neighborhoos when I caught him sleeping in a neighbor's driveway.
