Had a return visit today from Larry D. Hayden.  Good to get caught up after 7 years and Chupa was on his best behavior (sort of).  Ben really enjoyed seeing a Hasselblad for the first time.
Larry shot this iconic image of Benita when he was last here.

It was so much fun checking in each day to see what Benita and the others were doing.

Cool to see old friends, and even better when they remind you of older friends, bovine or otherwise. That's a great B&W Larry made of Benita with it's cool perspective, composition, and shadows.

Been wondering about the DJI Goggles and if you have them yet. My Mavic Pro has shipped from DJI and I'm about to order Goggles today. Ran across a recent review you might be interested in, on Amazon from a pilot who wears glasses: http://amzn.to/2udD87f . It's the three star review from two days ago, July 11, with the title "Amazing but in some senses..."

He brings up some interesting points. I'll be interested in your experience with them, and how I fare too, as a spectacles wearer.

I just got them today and they are charging up. Have yet to "see" what corrective lenses I will need. I have a couple of options on hand and if need be, I will swing over to the Walmart in Ft. Stockton to get a precise focus.

Hi

You might think this is out of left field...but your main photo of the beautiful cow peering into the bucket of water.....

Well...if you look closely above the cow's left eye, about an inch and a half up and slightly to the left...is that little dark speck in the white clouds an UFO?

It looks like a flying saucer...and we know some UFOs do like our animals especially of the bovine kind.

Look, maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.
Would love your comment on this.

Sincerely
Gordon Greystoke

I don't even have to look...there are no UFO's circling Earth.

Hi John,

It was great to be able to catch up and have a chance to chat... A lot has changed over 7 years but then again, many things have remained the same... Thanks again for having me out and I'll try to make it less that 7 years before the next visit.

@ Road - thanks for the comment on the Benita photo. It's one of my favorites from my first trip to TFL. I made some more images yesterdays and will have more to post once I get my site rebuilt.

I love that B&W picture of Benita, well done Larry!

I can not believe it has been seven years. Ben is so big and beautiful and he looks like he too enjoyed the company.
