Your photo reminds me of Master Po, from the old TV series, Kung Fu.

"Caine: Is it good to seek the past, Master Po? Does it not rob the present?

Master Po: If a man dwells on the past, then he robs the present. But if a man ignores the past, he may rob the future. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past."

AHHH...sepia tone.....we used to cheat and use coffee to get an effect close to that. Especially if you wanted the photo to look really aged. Lots of fun.

Is this part of a new postcard series?

The look of quiet satisfaction tempered with the resignation of nature's dominance.

It looks like the 1890's. Very nice photo. Where'd you take it?
