RIP Michael Heidebrecht

Thanks to those of you who sent cards and letters to Michael.  He really got a kick out of hearing from my blog readers during his last weeks. He was a Marine who lived his life by the slogan he learned in boot camp... Semper Fidelis / Always Faithful

1 Peter 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Oh John. I'm so very sorry to hear of your friend's passing. But it is heartening to hope that he was given many a smile from all of the correspondences. RIP Michael. Condolences to you and his family.

Hope he gets a foot marker like my father did. But the military always screws up something, should have had "Cold War Veteran", DOD said no.

Marines are special people. Nice that he is getting a Field Lab commemoration.

I'd like to think that Benita is showing "Ugly Betty" the lay of the land in Sgt. Heidebrecht's new home...
as you once described him; " He might look a little mean but he's a hell of a cook, a real friendly guy, and he loves his mother."
at ease sir.

sound as balm, sorry for the loss of your friend.
(your comment about "a superb BLT from Ugly Betty", made me include this)
