Evacuation

Now that it is finally getting cold...I am more inclined to experiment with things that involve heat.  Since I have been back on the solar oven project, I have been doing new research on solar ovens.  I came across this one 2 weeks ago.  They had a kickstarter campaign back in 2013 that ended up raising far beyond their initial goal.  I really like the simplicity and size of their little oven so I found and ordered the main ingredient pretty cheap on Ebay for a little DIY.  45,63,50,0,B

Yes, ingenious.

Do you think this will replace setting a pitcher of water and tea bags out in the sun to brew tea for hours to make ice tea?

I am tempted. This go-sun would be good for my my thermos for hot instant coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider with a cinnamon stick, warm milk to relax before bed (?). I guess a wheat sandwich would be good for food. (Am I missing the point or running alongside side tracking everything? Just joking - or not).

You are an amazing, steady person to me, John, doing all these things and generously sharing your knowledge and discoveries with us. The Native Americans say that when a person shares, they will be blessed. It would be good if you could ever find information about what the Native Americans have learned about foods, natural remedies, the animals, and so forth in your area. I saw a t.v. Show about that from the Indians along the Rio Grande across the border in Mexico. It was very instructive.

Perhaps you have seen some of the good books from Big Bend National Park.

Seems to me you could hook up something like this to an old auto radiator and a 12v fan to make heat for a living space(?)

I was going to ask you, how do you stay warm? I had to put on some wool socks last night and an extra wool blanket over the down comforter.
