Noooo! John would not eat rabbit stew. If he started doing that - he could not get them to pose for his photos. Those models work for very reasonable rates! Only a few handfuls of rabbit chow every day.
gestation period for rabbits - 30 days!
I had to google (of course), but that's a mighty fine Colony of rabbits you have there. However, since we're in Texas, I'm just gonna call them a Herd of bunnies.
