Woke up to a particularly noisy bird morning a few days ago, led by this new thrasher. He hatched last fall from a nest in the greenhouse. Not to be outdone, Chupa managed to get his two cents in as well. News Theme 2 by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...)

I hear a dove at 1:25 and again 2:28. Love your thrashers.

Soon Junior will be mimicking Chupa, and cacophony will ensue.

hi, John!
i'm new, just found the Field Lab on youtube.
i'm really interested in your roof/ceiling design,
i don't know if you've already posted a blue print of your house design,
but can you please cover your roof and ceiling and
how this particular design works in summer and winter?
I'd imagine the empty space between the roof and ceiling cools
your house down considerably,
but does it get unnecessarily cold in winter, due to the empty space?
THANKS!

THF...no blueprints available. The design helps in the summertime and I don't really have to worry about cold in winter since we don't have much of a winter here in the desert and it is easy to heat a 128 sq ft space when I need to.

I love this site! I’m so glad I found the water-bucket video, which is my favorite! ( I hope to see another one in the future.). I was in Terlingua last April and wished I had know about you then, I would have stopped off to say hello. Thank you for posting your adventurous life
