Doxology...

When I was growing up, my family attended church services every Sunday.  Part of every service was the doxology which was repeated so many times in all the years I went to church that I have always remembered it although at the time it was never explained to me - my parents never discussed the weekly service they were so adamant about attending.  The doxology just seemed like something that was dutifully repeated by church goers every Sunday - right after the collection plate got passed around.  For me it meant the long boring sermon was coming up soon. 

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all Creatures here below,
Praise Him above ye Heavenly Host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

The twisted logic of atheists...

It's funny how non-believers will latch on to something like this because they refuse to accept the idea of eternal punishment.  It is also funny how often they latch on to something the Pope says and twist it around.   The Pope did not in fact "reveal the answer", and is well aware of the concept of Heaven and hell.  I think he handled this the only way he could and was just being diplomatic because it was a child in a very public forum.  But being the greatest guy in the world doesn't gain you much credit in the afterlife without having accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - and splashing your children with water doesn't do anything for them or you.  That is the problem with the Catholic religion...they offer blessings and atonement at the hands of mere men when only God can grant such favors through the death of his only Son.  I suspect that if the Pope was dealing with an adult in a private situation, he would suggest the following scriptures:  Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Mathew 10: 33   But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Ben has a health issue...

I recently discovered that Ben is exhibiting signs of rectal prolapse - not uncommon in cattle.  My friend Terry Burger (Ben's godmother - she has known him since he was a pup) sent me some medicine.  Her husband Paul is a veterinarian and they are both well versed in large livestock care.  Never thought I would be applying Preperation H to a longhorn's butt hole.  She also sent some Panalog that I have to inject into his rectum with a large plastic syringe.  This should be interesting.  Ben is about to take trust to a whole new level.  I will spare you a photo of his infirmity,  but there might be a video coming soon...  78,85,53,0,W

Had a traveler camp at TFL Sunday night.  Tobias Foglia was looking for a rustic campground out my way and ended tenting it right behind my house.  He was pretty beat having just peddled 65 miles from Alpine.  The perfect overnight guest - he brought his own food, cookware, stove, and bedroom.  He has been cycling cross country since he left Boston last September...on his way to San Diego.  After his night here, he was planning on a couple of nights down in the national park before continuing his journey west.  89,97,56,0,B

business is picking up...

Baked nine loaves for two clients today and just got a double order of croissants for Monday.  Finally gave in and started an Instagram account for my bread photos.  89,97,49,0,B

the shower is occupied...

Just discovered this nest in my solar shower a couple of days ago.  Looks like I am back to sponge baths for at least the next month.  Would hate to disrupt this family as the nest is right next to my pump and one of the parents is always on the nest.  I will be live streaming video on my YouTube channel every afternoon til they hatch and leave the nest.  This is a Eurasian Collared Dove.  Since I have been watching them, the father tends the nest during the day from about 10 AM to 6 PM and the mother takes the night shift.  71,79,53,0,B

FedEx snafu...

FedEx was supposed to deliver my hard white wheat 2 days ago.  I got an email that said it was delivered but I was here all day and they never came to my house.  I filed a claim with FedEx and contacted customer support at Walmart.  Walmart was very accommodating and sent out another shipment free of charge right away.  FedEx finally called me this morning to say my shipment was left outside by a gate a mile away from my house - a gate that has no name or address but plenty of no trespassing warnings.  I told them where I was in relation to where they left my order.  I found my boxes there right after they called.  FedEx bites the bullet on this one for not delivering to the address on the shipping label and just leaving my order by the road - and I get a double order for the price of one.  That is of course if they actually deliver here tomorrow...  79,92,53,0,B

Easter has nothing to do with bunnies and eggs and everything to do with the unimaginable suffering Christ endured to wash you from earthly sin.  FYI - it only applies if you ask Him into your life and accept Him as your savior.  Bunnies and eggs alone won't play well for you when you leave this earth.
