As is customary in my Church, birthdays are celebrated by everyone in the congregation. Today was my turn to be subjected to gifts and praise by my brothers and sisters. I happened across a family in the middle of nowhere. I found Christ in the wilderness because I simply looked for him. To deny the existence of God without first seeking him out is a selfish fools game. If you put forth just a little effort you will find him. If you turn your back on the Light, you will live in darkness forever. Don't be fooled by the powers of darkness just because you can flip a switch.
John 1: 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born , not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

54
As per usual - on the annual celebration of my birth, I tend to reflect and dig through the archives. Found a couple of $25 savings bonds. My Aunt Kay and Uncle Dallas gave me one when I was 5 years old. The other I got from my grandfather Harold Niles when I graduated from high school. Did some digging online about them this afternoon. Both were originally purchased for $18.75. Together they are now worth $367.47. Both are listed as "Matured and not earning interest". I should probably cash them in soon since my relatives initial investment in this country is now translated into debt. Kinda ironic that my life is earning interest while I have yet to mature. 76,91,59,0,B,0

Excelerite
My black beauty squash pumped out its' first big flower today. Green beans are starting to climb. Set up some seed starts with beefsteak tomatoes, chives, and corn.

My friends at http://us-rem.com/ sent me some Excelerite last July but I never got around to testing it. Figured it was about time so I set up comparisons today with some tomato plants, peppers, leucaena, moringa, and my newly transplanted pear trees.
"Uncle Tony" from Canada came by to bid farewell to Ben (the snowbird season is just about over). 74,81,39,0,C,0

Spring'kle
Cooked up two batches of cheese this morning. Nice thing about making cheese - there is wait time that allows for other things - like prepping for rain. My efforts were doubly rewarded with 2 lbs. of cheese and a rainstorm this afternoon. Got a good pelting with pea sized hail for about 20 minutes. Mr. Floppy took it like a man with his back to the wind. My boys figured out the barn is a good thing after running around like crazy when the storm began. Not enough rain for the creeks to flow, but I caught about 500 gallons of new water off my catchment systems. 63,90,55, .24",B, 0
