Full morning of errands down south. Home in plenty of time to ponder the next phase of roofing. Pondered away the afternoon then took a baby step by affixing one strip of end closure to a metal flat with Lexel caulk (the best caulk on the planet!). Critical to get the first piece of polycarbonate lined up before proceeding with the rest of the "big window" on the greenhouse roof. Side note: the wheat grass soil test is progressing well.
Now for the ABSURD... as if all the other current world news of the day isn't bad enough. This "alert" on Yahoo struck me because of my early days in the fashion industry. "Honeysuckle has been named as Pantone’s color of the year for 2011. The reddish-pink shade of the color reflects an energetic and uplifting mood hoped to be felt in the new year. The 2010 color was Turquoise, and with its bluish hue, it served as an escape for many¸ encouraging feelings of peace and calmness. Now, with the introduction of Honeysuckle as the new color, it establishes a stimulating influence to lift spirits." good luck with that!... 54,74,26,0,B

I still prefer the Turquoise.
Come on John, That bike of yours would look good in that color. ;)
I am a Hibiscus man myself.
tff....not to worry...your next Field Lab tshirt will be that color. But the pocket will be turquoise.
Any shirt with a pocket has to be a good shirt. (Especially after some black dye) I bet the Field Lab would still show up to.
That's funny... my honeysuckle is yellow :)
I must be out of the big loop, I'm thinking the world has enough of every color, except maybe chiffon
Come on, Benita Cow Paddy Tan is THE color for 2011
If I want my "Stimulating Influence of my Spirts stimulated", I will swallow a viagra with my coffee this morning.
(I think "Benita Brown" should be the next shade of brown)
Guess I should empty out my closet for all the new honeysuckle clothes I have to buy. My honeysuckle is yellow.
Pink
We have VERY diffrent backgrounds. I worked in machine shops all my life. In the early years all equipment was painted battleship grey. Then somebody did a test and it was decided that tan and light green machinery would be better as we would be more productive and happy little workers. I don't know if I was more productive but was glad to see the grey go.
that looks like magenta to me, but what do i know?
It is funny what gets people to make comments. I still wonder what happened to Benito!
I'm with you, DD. Turquoise is more my speed. My honeysuckle is a creamy pale yellow.
These are the people who were responsible for greige?
I feel better already!
How funny! Our graphic artist at work sent these "new colors" out this week! She's 26, I'm 52. I told her the "new colors" looked like the turquoise of my first car, a '57 Chevy and the bathroom of the house I grew up in; not-quite-Pepto-Bismol-pink!
