cutsomedoors

Started off with a power breakfast at the GrubShack - The Bob Special: GS trademark potatoes with salsa, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a fried egg on top...with wheat toast.  Had an early visit from my (and now Carl's) friend Chris Cobb.
Finished the window frames installation.  Cleared the west side of the greenhouse for the next phase.  Been wondering how my grinder with a cutting wheel would work on the containers and I found out today.  Cuts like butter - only used three wheels to do two cutouts - 80" x 43.5".  Took 2 hours to cut the door holes.  85,92,46,0,C

Very Cool! Been waiting to see how the cutting of the containers was going to go. Can't wait to see how you finish those out. Love the windows on the doors, they turned out more beautiful than I had envisioned... of course I am still playin in the sand box and living vicariously through the Field Lab. Going to the worlds tallest building on Tuesday, will take a pic of the shirt there.

I have been reading your blog for months. I can't wait to see how the containers look once they're filled with plants! Looks great so far!

I haven't been keeping up enough, I guess. Where are you getting power for the grinder?

Yum! Great to see your regular dispatches from the Grub Shack again. The place looks nice. In this picture, the covered dining area looks deeper than I remember. Maybe it's just the angle, or the focal length. Looking forward to our next meal there.

Yep, Carl is a friendly bird. If you're in the market for a 'friend' for him, maybe we could bring our cute little hen for a visit.

The interior shots of the greenhouse look wonderful. The door cut-outs on the containers bring this project to a whole new level. The space now has a warm, inviting, and livable feel to it. Congratulations, again, on a great structure.

Glad to see you aren't bothering with plasma cutters and all that. The ole' grinding wheels on the 4" grinder have been our workhorses on all the container mods we've done over the last three years. 16ga corten does cut like butter with those bad boys... I started ordering them by the 100's online (Travers tool) and just cutting till my heart's content! That and a wirefeed welder is all you need (as you're finding out!)

Would love to see the Grub Shack’s menu and prices.

What does the pink sign say in your GS photo?

Your place is really coming along nicely; congrats!
