NICE BREAD

Unloaded lots of recyclables and trash in Alpine this morning.  Picked up 2 fruit trees...a grapefruit and an orange (with an orange already on it!).  Also grabbed ingredients for some upcoming Field Lab Solar Oven Zucchini Bread.  Ran into my friend Emily Harman who I haven't seen in over a year.  She's a baker now and was making a delivery to Blue Water Natural Foods.  I got a beautiful/heavy organic loaf of 9 grain bread and some chocolate chip cookies from her.  Look for the brand locally...NICE BREAD / handmade.

Picked up, trucked home, installed (with extra pavers to distribute the weight), filled with 100 gallons of rainwater, and jumped into an IDEAL feature for the courtyard.  92,103,61,0,B

Now you have done it! Exactly what I have wondered if you would do for some time! I love a good stock tank as a pool, hot tub or even bath tub. Looks like this one could be all or any one of those. Wet is a good look on you! Enjoy!

Good thing you made those doors stout - the smell of water in 103º heat could be a powerful motivator for those wandering about outside...
did you pick up some "water wings" for Carl?
you friend looks like quite the baker! cakettes look tasty in various forms...

I need one of those "pools" for my patio! Do you have any plans of drying any of your produce? Dried veggies in a little olive oil and a touch of salt would be tasty. I agree - the baked goods look wonderful.

Great minds think alike, although maybe for different reasons. I too use an innertube in my hot tub,as a safety feature. After 15 or so white russians I tend to take a nap...not a good idea in 3 feet of water.......

YOU ARE LIVING LARGE in the heart of Texas!

"fifteen or so White Russians..." wow!

A nice touch adding citrus trees to the mix. Hope they do well there.

I thought it looked like more pavers were stacked under that tank. As an added bonus, you can cycle the water to watering the plants, refill the "pool", and thus keep it from getting funky. What a cool idea, and photo.
