I'm glad you shared the experience.
I remember meeting Benita, she was a fine looking gal. Been awhile since I have been down your way. Need to get back there some day.
Without you, she would not have had the happy last few years of her life. You gave her food she could eat and water in the summer where she didn't have to roam too far. Wish there had been a little different ending.
Haven't seen that one before. Looks like it was her very own parking spot with valet water. Benita really had a wonderful retirement. Wonder how the kids are doing?
It seems you have done a lot of work improvements on your place since that video.

the brown dirt cowboy
There are so many animals out there that need our help. Our two dogs came from a local shelter. It was hard to leave the shelter with only two! They all seemed to know what was going on and wanted to leave with us. Following a friends example we try to drop off a bag of food now and then. Many shelters are going through tough times in this economy.

Animals appreciate anything you do for them..
Unlike so many people.
You're a lucky man John Wells. And a good one.
That brought a little tear to my eye :(
You were so good to her...I know she appreciated all you did for her.
I had forgotten she was so speckled! Beautiful, beautiful animal.
Let's all take a pass on eating other Benitas...if only once or twice...in her honor.
I just noticed how she tilted her head back and forth when you approached. She really liked and appreciated you. It's so easy to be an armchair spectator.
Handsome cow !
As a note I saw this a few weeks ago,
