It is always nice to come across a snake that has no interest in killing me. Bogertophis subocularis, commonly known as the Trans-Pecos rat snake or the Davis Mountain rat snake, is a species of medium to large, nonvenomous rat snake in the family Colubridae. Bogertophis subocularis is endemic to the Chihuahuan Desert. News Theme by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...) Beautiful! And the musical theme perfectly captures the gently sinuous, undulating mystery of this gorgeous animal.

By the way, I think you'd agree that *most* snakes have no interest in killing you :-)

Always the right music. Would be very interesting to know the process you go through in selecting it.

After I edit the video, I go to the YouTube Audio Library and listen. They have quite a variety where you can choose by genre, mood, instrument, and duration. I start with picking a duration that is close to the length of my video and just keep listening until something feels right. Usually one just pops out at me. The hard part is when I come up with 2 or 3 choices I like and have to narrow it down to one. I also try to make a point of picking a style that is different from what I have already used.

You've got a good eye for music.

Any snake can bite.

Your area is good as far as elevation goes. The Davis mountains are very special but too high for me anymore. I once climbed a 14, 000 foot mountain with no problem when other people did not make it but I decided tonight that mountains should be out for me now.
