chew this....

High winds = low work. Problem was I slacked off all morning while it was calm then the winds just kept building throughout the day. Patched the line to the IP cam and ran it through some conduit but just couldn't bring myself to dig the trench...at least it will be tougher for a longhorn to chew through for now.

Blooms are sparse this year due to lack of rain but I make an effort to take notice as they occur. This tiny flower on a small bush is one of my favorites - Feather Dalea / Dalea formosa. (thanks to Burr Williams from the Sibley Nature Center in Midland, TX for the ID.) 82,99,47,0,W

For what its worth, since I don't know what is available for the longhorns, a couple of mineral blocks might be of help to stop the munching on wires. Many critters sense the salt in plastics and that is why they chew on them, to get the salt. Providing a mineral block should help with that, if they are looking for salt.

Try again, this time with my fingers on the right keys (grin).

Even though the blooms are sparse this year, they sure are not sparse on beauty. That little bloom is beautiful.

We watch your live cams and always check your blog every evening. Keep up the good work.

I saw this image of a Russian train station and reminded me of your greenhouse.
