essential flight gear...

Dug through my gear today to unearth my GoPro Hero 3+ (I had to dig deep to find the charging cable).  I have only used this camera 4 times since I bought it almost 3 years ago.  Sad thing is - this cost $300 bucks back then and now the market is flooded with Chinese knockoffs that are better than this model at a fraction of the price.  61,69,46,0,C

Helmet cam or where will it be mounted?

Helmet cams work the best since it is hands free - I used a helmet mount for my first 4 flights. http://thefieldlab.blogspot.com/2014/03/hero3.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0WGmqEr3xU&t
I am going to rig a "selfie stick" too for a view of the pilot but you have to be extra careful not to drop it. I may rig a follow cam some day for another interesting point of view - there are plenty of plans available on how to make one. Mounting the camera directly to the cage or trike doesn't tend to work very well because of motor vibration.
Here is a pilot that actually filmed himself flying his paramotor with a drone he was piloting as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqjxQfWeG64

Maybe install a safety line on your selfie stick as long as it doesn't interfere with anything else.

It is standard operating procedure to have any extraneous gear tethered...
