moldy...

Broke out the welder today for the first time in years.  Fabricated a steel ingot mold for batches of melted alloys I will use for coins.  70,75,49,0,B

I am fascinated! I'm into blacksmithing and making knives. I took a class on casting and i'm almost finished with my DIY smelting furnace so I am really interested to see your process. Thanks for sharing!

Doesn't the molten alloy fuse to the steel ingot mold?

BB Sutton...I have never seen anyone having a problem with that in all the melting videos I have seen on YouTube. I think it has something to do with the much higher melting point of steel.
