thursday

Thursday morning....for your entertainment pleasure till I post tonight...

Made an Alpine run today...among other good things, I got a saltsicle for Benita. Seems my modem is fine but ordered some new external hard drives to backup the data on my computers and a new surge protector for the phone and power lines. 95,106,57,0,B

John

I live 10 miles south of Alpine and get my phone and DSL from Big Bend Telephone.

I had a problem with lightening on only the DSL. The phone always worked fine. What I kep blowing were telephone connection on the surge protector. I went through 3 or 4 and finally bought a Surgegate MCO4X4 telephone 4 modular for 4 lines. Prices on the net are bout $40 - $60, Here is the spec sheet
http://www.surgegate.com/images/specification/MCO4x4.pdf

I bought this one because I was losing a surge protector to lioghtening about every two monthsd and I thought I could juts plug in from line to line two if the first blem but I have had it hooked for two years and it has stayed in service.

Good Luck

Benitas expression for some reason makes me think of Homer Sumpson, AHHHHHH chooocolate! or Ahhhhhhh salt!

I just read your weather forecast for the next few days, record highs around 115 or up. Better stock up on coolant and hunker down somewhere out of the sun.
