Are you sure you didn't inadvertently do a rain dance when you rebuilt the fire pit???
Too bad you can't keep the New Field Lab swimming pool all year round.
Stack it high and keep it dry!
Being from the West Texas Desert. Any rain is good rain out there. I would evan store up more rain water for drought next year. Im sure old "Benita" is growing gills right now.
I always heard that July was the rainy season in Terlingua. Seems like it.
