food'n'phones

Had the Bob Special with ham this morning at the GrubShack.  Got sucked into the vortex and lingered just a little too long there.  Long enough in fact to see the mailman and Manny from UPS.  He dropped off the new(old surplus) telephones I ordered from http://www.sciplus.com/ .  I got 4...one for my old house, one for the new house, one for the office, and one for the future guest house.  Tested them and they all work fine.  Making a call on one of these phones seems so much more humane.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTc3PsW5ghQ  53,69,31,0,W

I have a phone like that, but it's tan, not black. I love the bell ringer. I love that it's probably 20 or more years old and still works as good as it did when it was new.

Breakfast looks good! Pass the salsa and stand back!

I miss those phones.

The old school Bell phones can survive a Nuclear War or being thrown across the room. I miss the old phone etiquette. If the phone keeps ringing, then there's nobody home (no answering machine or voicemail garbage)

Telemarketers did not exist and nobody called at dinnertime.

Good looking breakfast/brunch. BUT I thought you said several months ago that you were going vegetarian? Wha Happen to That?

that is the ultimate goal Ben - Before moving here, I had some form of meat with every meal. In the past year, I have cut down to
5 servings per week. It's a work in progress.

aren't we all, (a work in progress)
with old school phones like that there's no dropped calls unless you drop the phone.

John,
Bet Benita is glad your wanting to give up meat. You gotta try making wheat meat - great stuff and you can fry it in a little olive oil and onions, smother it with barbeque sauce and it satisfies your Texas meat craving. Or tempeh with barbeque sauce, made into a sandwich - wow!

i am still smiling from the martian video, the best part about the old phones was the click, click, click....click, click, click, click, click...click, click
when you were dialing it
