blood brother

My new belt is still trapped in El Paso so I took up "Under The SC Sun's" offer.  David and Heidi Holloway came down a day early with a belt from AutoZone in Alpine and David popped it on for me in 15 minutes (and shed some blood doing it).  Really good friends and soon to be neighbors out here.  46,57,29,0,B

That is the kind of neighbors to have.

Life is tougher in the Chihuhuan Desert. Most of the plants have thorns or stickers to stab you, many of the animals will bite you, and you certainly need to be careful with those ATV's, Trucks, etc. I figured out I wasn't up to those kind of hazards 365 days a year - so I limit my visits to several two week visits per year. And those are taken when the summer heat has moderated. Cheers!

It was my pleasure to help a friend in need. It was a team effort.

All the good people that have come to your aid in time of need certainly offsets that rather dark post you put up awhile back. I expect you've figured that out already. Heal fast and true John.

Fifteen minutes? Not bad. Not bad at all. Sorry about the blood loss. My DNA tests say I have relatives in North Carolina and I once lived in South Carolina as a child. I wonder if my relatives are as kind and talented as Mr. And Mrs. Holloway.

15 minutes to replace a drive belt? Your friend is awesome. Glad they were able to help you.

Rev. J. L. B, my kin (Holloway) left Pennsylvania in 1741 and settled in SC in the Edgefield District. Ride any back road in Edgefiled or North Augusta, SC and you'll find lots of mailboxes at the roadside with my surname...

Also, if you believe as I do, pertaining to the account of Noah, we are all cousins.

That blood letting is what happens to me now that I'm old and even get near anything that can break very thin skin.

Never hurts to have friends with skills.

Edlfrey, omg is that what I might have to look forward to. I took a ferel cat I rescued to the vet for $151.00 and the cat bit me and I bled a lot.

My father was a vet and at 90 he would not go near cats and briefly touched the head of a dog when I urged him to feel the soft hair.

lots of sharp edges under the hood. You need arm guards and gloves to work on cars nowadays
