Early day was a morning of math as I had yet to decide exactly what the purlin spacing would be. First of all - I am going to stagger the butt joints so I layed out the next two rows that start from the front of the greenhouse. Got 2 twenty footers measured, marked and welded into place. I think I will set up all the rows first going from front to back then fill in the rest between them from back to front. Final spacing on each row of purlins will be 32 inches. It's all becoming clear now....at least to me. 49,69,20,0

back in the sky...

Its hard to believe you're a one-man operation when one looks at that expanse of steel. You must have some gremlins come out when the camera's not rollin'. Even though I've watched step by step its still unreal. It wouldn't surprise me if you came up with a retractable roof!

The spacing of the perlins might, to some extent, depend on the length of the corrugated roofing material you're useing.
Have you figured out yet just how you're going to attach the roofing material to the perlins?

I must be missing something. When I think of a greenhouse if think thin, light, transparent roof. It looks like this structure will take 20' of snow; in Texas?
