Built up a little steam and managed to clear the debris that 5 people can make in 4 days. Next phase for the roof is to white prime all the metal I just welded into place before the roofing goes on. Need to give my lungs a break so wont fire up the sprayer for at least a week. Just gotta pick something from the list to keep me occupied. 62,84,26,0

thats a big building
grace under pressure
The operation is looking very impressive!
John, I know you feel pressure to get all the roof done while the weather is cool but it's okay to rest. I watched you leaning back in the rattan chair the other day and wished it had arm rests. You couldn't find a comfortable way to place yours. The sound is out on my computer so I can only watch but I spend some time "at" your place every day. Thanks for the live cam.
Is that Agua Fria Mountain in your picture today?
That is Santiago Peak (elev. 6524), about 70 miles NNE of TFL
You don't have to write all the time; in your case a picture "is" worth a thousand words.
I agree - don't rush on the roof - who cares if it isn't done till next year. You are a fantastic inspiration to many readers, self included. Nice photo btw.
The Field Lab compound pic is one of the best you have posted yet. All are good but this one is just impressive! Hope you are feeling better and not like crap any longer. BTW - every time I click on the webcam it seems Benita is eating. I am surprised she's not as big as a house!

I thought of Santiago after I posted earlier, Agua Fria is more rounded on top. I am getting very frustrated with the log on--since it doesn't want to remember me but that is not your fault. Keep up the good work! Are you at all concerned that you are the support of Benita , that she is not ranging like the rest? Don't step on those Catseye plants!
John...have you ever thought about getting another dog??
Yep... Everyone needs some time off every now and then. Even John. If you aren't feeling good hope that doesn't last long.
messpano. you crack me up.
deep breaths.
sino po kayo?
Hang in there. This new cold/flu bug is a tough one. My husband is starting his 3rd week and is still not back to par.
I too have a few friends that drop by every now and then so I loose a day or three in a similar fashion. resulting in the mountain of dead soldiers. looks like it was well deserved fun.
that new structure is lookin' good!
I hope you found the bacon I left in that 'debris' - should be still good as long as there is ice in the cooler. Rest easy Bro.
I always had impression that your cabin was facing south or west but it is almost facing north?
Great shot of property. Greenhouse will be easily visible from ISS.
John,
My wife is checking out your blog for the first time. I don't comment often but DO check-in multiple times a week.
You are a real inspiration in our dream of living off the grid. We're going with the Earthship concept and will finally have our grid home on the market within the next 10 days.
On the days when you're under the weather and feeling like you're not making headway...I wish I could give you a hearty thanks for the inspiration...
I really enjoyed the panorama, beautiful shot, gives a great perspective on the land out there and how your place fits into it. What are the lat/long coords? Just thought I'd check it out on google earth.
Keep up the good work.
Good shot of the FTL. Take it easy and take good care of yourself, you pushing it to hard.
