treat for the girls

Hens got their favorite meal today...one empty tank got nudged by yesterdays storm - good thing the greenhouse was there to stop it...prepped some furring strips for the radiant barrier.  Just 5/8" strips glued in along the bottom edge of the walls...all the rest of that wood is there to hold it in place while the glue sets.  90,103,69,0,B,0

Take the girls out for a walk. They really like bugs, especially the ones found in and around a compost heap. The eggs will be much higher in protein.

boy that looks like a yummy meal for the chicks. Bet they were only too happy to supply more eggs.

John, you may look at adding some lay pellets to the girls feed. Mine seemed to produce better when I did.

Best of continued success!!!

John, thanks for contacting me about your blog! I follow Benita, and then her successor, on Facebook. I love your "experiment," that seems like quite a success.

Good looking salad for the hens.

Quite a storm it must have been to move that empty container.

I like seeing the new abode coming together.
